  • Not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but I'm curious what the reading would be if you didn't have so many sunny windows.

  • @davettalashley hi the readings are from the heaters not the room prob is inside the heater please watch my other vids got one heater to 220 degrees

  • Do you think the fans are necessary? Wouldn't the heat rising draw the cooler air in from the bottom. Since the air will be flowing slower I would think that the air inside the heater will get hotter?

  • @Sivispacemparab the fans help moved the air faster but they work either way i only have one fan on the bedroom heater it cuts on at about 110 degrees and cuts off at 90 untill air heatsup again please watch my new video much better heater

  • Wow ! ..Do you think it could work with water for heating a swiming pool ?

  • @Mowlson hi yes

  • Did you use, or have you considered using, half silvered / mirrored glass / plastic, like those in cop shows, so the heat/ light enters but any reflection, light or heat, is kept in the box?

  • the only part I dont understand is why do you need a seerate solar panel to create elctricity. Isnt there some way to harnes the power to run the fan with out the seperate store bought panel? Also does the heat last through the night> It snows here, and I wonder how long it will stay warm. Thanks!!! Its really inspiring. Now you just need to put some copper pipe in there and connect your water to it and to your old fasion water heater. I saw a video on youtube about it. Very interesting!

  • What's the ambient temperature? I built a few of these out of 3" aluminum irrigation pipe. It heats the shop at my cabin nicely. I am working on a storage system for the excess heat.

  • cool i am going to try that

  • What a great idea, If my hydro wasn't included in my rent already I would be making these. I will check out your new video. Great upload, thanks!

  • How about cutting some of those trees out of the way so that collectors could get more sunlight? :)

  • im curious, will the panels hold enough heat to last through the night?

  • i am still new to this idea, and i watched your other popcan heaters/ furnaces.... and i think i have the overall idea worked out i am going to try and build one on my own.... i just have a couple questions, i couldnt find the answeres in the other vids... if i was to run it inside to the house, how would i hook up the fans amd everything to run it like your furnace video? if you could send me a message and let me know it would be greatly appreciated thanks brian

  • Interesting. What happens when the sun goes down or if it is a cloudy day? How much cold air is transferd from the outside to the inside? It would seem that you would need some kind of a insulated plug or something. Thanks

  • I think it would be better to lay it down on the roof.... or, mounting some kind of system to follow the sun.
