Wifebeater Theater Presents

My obsession with Brian Setzer is leading me down the meandering genealogical path into the past of 50's rock and roll. Much like I've known that SRV was greatly influenced by Hendrix, I'm now learning nifty new tidbits, like who EDDIE COCHRAN was.

Please have a look at my friend STRAYMOUSE's channel, where you can find Brian Setzer's video from which I learned this song. It's a simple song, but with such flair when played right.

This, my friends, is not that video.

Performance notes: I blow it on a the turnaround after the solo, where I completely screw up the decending riff from the 12th fret back to the A - it's not easy, and if I were a musical perfectionist, I wouldn't have posted any videos by now, so oh well. Here goes nothin'.

  • Welcome to the world of Rockabilly. I got into it because of the Stray Cats and like u I'm learning how to play Summertime Blues. Another good artist is Buddy Holley and of course Gene Vincent.

  • Great cover. Thanks for posting

  • Miss some raw on the voice, and some more study on guitar. I´m trying to be nice.
