  • it sounds like the vocal recoding with the booth has a lot more lower end and mids bringing the full vocal out alot more NICE DEMO....and what other room acoustics did you have? just this peice?

  • @kac123ige2

Just this yeah. Recorded in a bedroom with hardwood floors and drywall walls and ceiling.

  • The open angle of that trap wall is adjustable?

  • yes it is.

  • @carlosaglez1 Have to agree - not much different for me.

  • as for vocals I would test a condenser mic on with the booth rather than an SM58...

  • @ladygodia what is auralex?

  • I cant hear a a significant diference, I dont believe on those craps

  • @ladygodia

lmao, Aurelex is a joke. It always has been in the industry. Show me the absorption coefficient rating of the Aurelex foam in a corner and I'll show you the rating of OC703 which is what is used within this product. Putting a mic in a corner is NOT the same thing a this. You will get comb filtering and added unwanted resonance. PLEASE, everyone don't listen to this tool.

Yes, the PVB is a barrier, however it is an dual sided absorption barrier.

  • @viptampa o'rly? "they absorb frequencies that go past the mic from the vocalist, and outside noise such as room noise" I'm quit sure insulation and sheet rock do the same thing. Slap some aurelex for like 20 bucks in a corner and you're good to go. Besides you're still going to get room noise even with this. It's not a voice booth it's just a barrier. Yep sticking your mic in the corner will do the same thing. It's just a sound deadening device not a filter.

  • @ladygodia The panels on the Portable Vocal Booth are absorptions panels (both sides as well) This means they absorb frequencies that go past the mic from the vocalist, and outside noise such as room noise. This is NOT the same as putting a mic in a corner of a room.

  • Old Macdonald had a farm

  • How does this work on such an awkward angle? I don't get it? Might as well stick your Mic in the corner of your room and use that. There's so many of these SE wanna be's out there it's silly. The only portable booth thingy I know of that actually works that doesn't cost 3billion dollars is that AE booth thingy that soundkitz makes.

  • The people who cannot hear the difference have shit ears or are listening in a reflective environment. While it might not be dramatic, like the difference between a SM-58 and a U-47, the tightness and clarity of the sound is much improved. e-i-e-i-o.
