You'll be really delighted to find great flying copy of a similar model in "Rise of Flight--iron cross" (if you don't have it already). sh*t this msg sounds like spam--lol
Heard some scary things about the airfoil on these aircraft. Robert's Eindecker and the other aircraft fly good. However, the Razor can be scary for a low time pilot.
This is a replica, 3/4 scale. If you saw a full size D VIII of course this one is smaller and therefore thinner. The point is that someone built this beauty and had balls enough to fly it. A bit more challenging than playing a flute or in my case a harmonica. Don't minimalize someones accomplishments with a flippant comment. This "Flying Razor" is a homage to the most under rated plane to come from the Fokker stable. Great job guys!
What a waste of time and material when it would have been better spent on a full scale! I hate these things, people should shoot them out of the sky!

@GPNflyman
I'm sorry for bothering you as a historian and avionics expert. ;)
Off course, the plane shown here is really beautiful and a great piece of craftsmanship. No question abbout that.
Btw, I'm really jealous, because here in GER you can't build and fly aircraft so easily. Only the material testing aso. would cost millions.

The fuselage looks a bit too slim. Saw one at a museum last year and it was thicker.
