@BeechwoodSilasLang Look this up for proof Pink Floyd - Richard Wright about Syd Barrett
-
Syd is Audra-Audra is me, no one but perhaps one in one million could possibly comprehend it, do you wanna go to the show?
-
Another example of a sound pioneered by the Pink Floyd....so ahead of their time.
-
sounds like Corpal Clegg
-
The syd was strong with this one.
-
pure energy.

wow, way ahead of it's time!
...I have read that Syd had Aspergers' Syndrome , as well/whatever other diagoses he might've had .

@ChopsForBohemians theres no proof of that. if he was diagnosed his sister Rosemary would have mentioned that in one of her interviews. he was never officially diagnosed with any mental illness.

I'm new to early Pink Floyd and this is by far my favorite finding yet. My impression of Syd is that he was a very bright guy who loved to play, write and paint, but probably felt like the machine was invading his creativity. This coupled with mental illness (which isn't always obvious early in life) cut his creative life short, but at least we have some fine gems such as this to enjoy.

@1wirey Hard to believe you're new to early Pink Floyd since you know so much about Syd already, and you're quite spot on about him that's for sure. You'd be interested in a new biography about Syd entitled "Syd Barrett A Very Irregular Head" by Rob Chapman
