@wtong89 Ah btw I wasn't directing the last few sentence at you, I just ran out of characters. I mean to say the U.S conservatives who still believe in the voodoo economics are shameful for not even knowing the difference between a cut and a incentive.
People who screams capitalism knowing so little about how it works is just ridiculous beyond words.
@wtong89 Well it make sense because that is called a tax incentives, but the GOP tax cut is not tax incentive, it is just less taxes for the "job creators".
Not to mention most of the job creation comes from small businesses, so giving a tax cut to the richest people doesn't actually mean job creation.
It seems like common sense while it is not, but some people are just gullible enough to believe it is the problem.
Confusing cuts and incentives is shameful for self proclaimed capitalists.
The concept of not taxing Job Creators makes sense but it is hard to apply that theory. Republicans been saying tax cut will stimulate the economy, well that does make sense but where are the jobs? We been in tax cuts since Reagan and the economy caved because of deregulations and corporate greed. All tax cuts has done is increase budget deficits, get a reality check. The concept of tax cuts is not a sustainable long-term policy.
I agree with Cenk on this one issue, Please stop giving tax breaks to the rich. If you're Republican, vote for republicans that don't give tax breaks to the rich, this is really screwing over our party, and country. BTW Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citibank, Chase paid $0 in Federal taxes in 2010. Look it up, is that capitalism?
@wtong89 Yep the lobbyist give politicians tons of money so that the politicians do not raise their taxes. That is where they get their money to run for reelection.
Republicans don't understand simple pluses and minuses. They make such a stink about whether it's spending or taxes. But the deficit is the deficit is the deficit.
George W. Bush gave tax cuts for the rich, which was ok because of the budget surplus. However when US entered Iraq War & War on Terror, the govt needed money. Bush still kept taxes low & look what it got us. For you supporters of the GOP please tell me how Tax Cuts can fund our military & lower our deficit. Remember, Bush had the highest government spending especially when he signed Medicare part D. There is no defense, the GOP wants tax cuts because thats their own leverage of being elected.
So, you would want the same pay scale in the United States that workers in Mexico, China, South Korea make. Yes, the products will be cheaper, but, the standard of living will fall to the same as in Mexico, China, and South Korea.

It's not current tax policy. The law expired, that's why they had to vote for it. So no it wasn't paid for.
