I bought the Lutron Maestro IR for $40 at Menards, if your local home improvement store does not sell it, I am sure you can find it on ebay or somewhere on the internet. The remote takes two AAA batteries which are included, and everything you need to install the switch is in the packaging. The video was taken on a iPhone 3G using the iVideoCamera app.

  • you got the 1100??? you lucky wanker, ive got an old h659, i looked all over for wifi or bluetooth lightswitches to use my iphone to operate them, but didnt have much luck. there were a few rf lightswitches, but they were not universal remote friendly (but i bet your 1100 will work with them) so after doing a lot of research i decided on the lutron, it was by far the best switch on the market. glad you like it! you gotta admit, the fade up and fade down is great isnt it =)

  • @Pig560 The US standard is 120 volts AC at 60 hertz, the UK has a different standard, i think the lutron remote switch for europe is Rania IR, you could probably find it on ebay or some other online store.

  • The maestro remote functions can be learned by learning universal remotes. And the logitech harmony remotes already have a device profile built in for the lutron maestro.
