@HylomantisLemur I feel that it is almost my duty whenever I get the opportunity to warn people not to get sucked in to thinking there is £ in DnB. Old skool drum and bass djs like Andy C, Roni etc. all rely massively on naive youngsters who are willing to blow a shit load of cash (because it usually isn't theirs)putting nights on that inevitably flop.We always funded our nights with £ from our main business but I witnessed many others doing this. Plus, most big DnB dj's don't even own a house.

@HylomantisLemur If you didn't care, you wouldn't have commented twice. I've obviously struck a nerve with you. Andy C's rate card was about £2k 3 years ago (when we last booked him for one of our nights) but we didn't pay anywhere near that. Also, it was done through his agency so he would have had to pay tax on it. So he would have ended up with less than a grand. I could go on all day giving more examples. That proves drum and bass is a peanuts game. Egg and chips. Hi Tek trainers.

@philtomasbrs It doesn't make me feel better, I don't really care that much. Andy C pulls 2K a set sometimes Sure he's shit and being shit and playing the same tunes over and over again makes you popular, but I wouldn't say there's NO money it at all.

@HylomantisLemur I have first hand experience of the industry, I'm not saying what entities though because I reserve my right to freedom of speech. Even if they have day jobs like you said, that still sucks and proves there's no money in it. Believe what you want if it makes you feel better.
