The first time I hear about Stevie was round about 1983 when Ron Wood offers him to make music on his party. At that time I was thinking: what is proficient for Ronnie's party will be also good for my living room. So I buy the first album from SRV - 'Texas Flood' . It was incredible absolutly different from that music where i come from and the first notes from 'Pride And Joy' target straight into my balls. Thenceforward (I was 19 years old) I try to change my acting with guitar: change my guitar into a strat, make big and high bass-frets and 013 strings on it and became that sound i loved from Stevie... What I want to say is he revolutionise (in my opinion)blues guitar play in local bands and also to established Blues performer like Clapton. What makes SRV different i think is HOW he was playing bluenotes in terms of phrasing, rhythm and you know more and, of course you know it, his PASSION to his music and to other songs from different musicians...the last point is the reason why I'am doing this upload. Take a look on Stevies PASSION and enjoy him!!

In a music scene that was a growing morass of synthetic fakery and degeneracy, the universe once again sent us a towering example of artistry and realism: one man who took the time to study and learn his instrument and a two man rhythm section. You cant get more real that that...SRV rest in peace.
