Heavy fighting is raging near the fourth terrorist defence bund North of Puduimatalan.

25 terrorists were killed as a result of the heavy battles. Troops of the 7th Vijayaba Regiment of the 553rd Brigade under the command of Brig. Prasanna De Silva of the 55th Division are engaged in these operations.
In the face of the heavy attacks by the troops, the terrorists had fled leaving away two dead bodies. Corporal Welikala giving views to ITN said the terrorists started attacking when they attempted to advance. However, they continued their advancement retaliating the attacks. Later they found two bodies of the terrorists. He said the other bodies may have been taken away. Their plan is to reach the next terrorist defence line.
