  • So so. Kiri tones down the opera voice mannerisms--but she can't totally---a Broadway singer would give this more energy. The two voices are so opposite--and NEVER the twain should meet--witness the awful West side Story that Kiri and Carreras were in. Moral: Just because you can technically do something, doesn't mean you have the right voice for it.

  • Gorgeous singing.

  • musicyh, she has sung at least two arias from Tannhauser. I watched the dvd of Meeting Venus only recently; was so astonished to hear Kiri's singing out of Glenn Close's mouth (the synchronization was perfect). Then I bought the cd of the original sound track. According to the liner notes by Estvan Szabo, who did conduct some performances of Tannhauser, Kiri's singing for Glenn Close was flawless. Am ignorant on Wagnerian singing & won't judge how well Kiri sang but her voice was beautiful.

  • her voice is unreal, its not fairrrr

  • damechastain. Here is another lkady who can do everything to. Anne Sofie von Otter. She and Kiri are the same - down to earth, beautiful, talented, can do anything, and most of all are very classy.

Here are some examples of Anne's talent - what do you think?

    4. Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend - Anne Sofie von Otter (Broadway Melodies)

    Erlkönig (Schubert)

    Anne Sofie von Otter yodelling

Thomas Hampson & Anne Sophie von Otter - Il core vi dono (Così fan tutte)

  • The woman can do anything. Next she'll probably pull out the red-and-blue jumpsuit and cape and take down Lex Luthor.
