Cotto's corner wanted him to get back and finish because they had a plan in mind, that is to keep running.
If the fight ends in decision they can contest that it was a draw or even claim victory like Marquez camp did. If it was a TKO then they won't get that chance

cotto's father wanted to stop the fight but the trainer didn't want to stop the fight. cotto's an incredibly great fighter i just blame the trainer. he gave no real tactics of what to do. had he have another trainer the fight could've been better. props to manny, and the latin people.

gr8 fight! was up for cotto so im a bit dissapointed but fair play to manny, he boxed great !!! i defo tink the fight shudnt of been stopped tho.. the ref robbed cotto's dignity and pride to see out the fight to a points loss rather than a tko loss..
i hope cotto makes a strong comeback in 2010 hes still my fav !!!
