Fighting for them? The soldiers were fighting for the american agenda. It had nothing at all to do with freedom. It was about stopping communism from spreading, which would reduce american influence in the world. And how were the americans in Vietnam fighting for them? And isnt Freedom of Speech one of the most fundamental rights we humans have? Shall we die for using our rights?

I'm not saying anything good came out of it, in fact we lost. The North and communism actually won. What I am saying is that the US was justified in wanting to become involved. They had good intentions, even if it was a stupid and high loss of life war.

And I appreciate you admitting your mistake.

Say one good thing that came out of the Vietnam war. Say one thing.

Quick fact check, and you were right, North Vietnam attack the south. That was a mistake from me. And then it gives a good explenation of why USA would attack. They always protect their allies.

Maybe it was unjustified, and maybe terrible things were done. Ok? That sucks. But it doesn't mean nothing good came out of it, or there wasn't good motives bedhind anything. If you can't see why the US got invovled in vietnam, I would say your being ignorant.

But, no one wanted to "gain control" of north Vietnam...North Vietnam was the agressor that attempted to forcefull take over the south and unite them under communism.

Communism is exactly like a cancer actually, it doesn't have to be liked to be spread at all, it just needs to be forced on people. "And that would NEVER happen in the US. They never were in any real danger." Probably not, and no not directly, but if communism is allowed to spread and the US stands as the last bastion of democracy, that presents a seriously threatening situation in which the rest of the world probably hates us.

I didn't say anything about vietnam

under their level. That is why i think the Vietnam war was unjustified. Because of it's sheer brutality and lack of respect for the population there. And is really massacrating the civilian population protecting them, just because they might support communism, or whatever they did it for.

Why did they not intervene in Cambodia? Or in Syria today? It is politics, and the fear of communism is just politicians justifying everything they do. Read McCarthyism.

It would never be able to threaten the US. Communism is not like cancer, it is an ideology, which means people have to like it for it to spread. And that would NEVER happen in the US. They never were in any real danger.

And helping people in need is one thing, but America did not try to "save" Vietnam. All they did was making it worse. They tried to help South-Vietnam, who were friendly towards America, to gain control over North Vietnam. And the way the Americans fougth was despicable and

Did you ever think that if communism is allowed to spread it actually can threaten the US itself and peoples way of life?

So your saying we don't have a responsibility to help people basically, Are you not?
