EAST POINT, GA - Mayor Earnestine Pittman is once again targeting the Ethics Board. She has proposed doing away with the Ethics Board and cites the city of Alpharetta as a model that should be considered. According to the mayor, Alpharetta uses a panel of non-city-residents consisting of three persons from the legal field. In a coordinated effort, Mayor Pittman and supporter, Isabel Jeffares, continue to try and paint the Ethics Board as disorganized and unable to reach quorum.

Ethics Board member, Michelle Thompson, responded firmly to statements Mayor Pittman made at the March 1, 2010 City Council Meeting.
