In 1962, my father and I lived at Vandenberg Air Force Base on the central California coast, while my mother and sisters lived in Massachusetts, on a dairy farm near her parents. The following year, Mom, Laurie and Georgia joined Dad and me at Vandenberg.
In this footage we're seen playing in the backyard with our poodle, Tiki (or Tiquet d'Argent) and another of Laurie's snakes. Next, we see Georgia and Laurie cheerleading at a school football game, followed by the three of us at the beach, filmed in slow motion for some reason (most likely by accident.)
In the final scene we're at the San Diego Zoo.

Thanks, Danny - how great that you have these memories! Wish I could remember the name of our street but I do have other memories. I hope you're able to edit and upload your own movies; I look forward to seeing them! Cheers,

Great footage of your family at vafb in the early days. Our family lived there from 1963 to 1968.We lived on Elm street which was 1 block from Westwings Elementary. It appears briefly in the background of your football game footage. Most of the base housing at vafb was demolished and rebuilt to updated designs and codes between 1996 and 2008. I have many fond memories of vafb, the beach, the Saturns little league baseball team and the missile launches. Loved the footage.
