This is the Taylorville, IL High School Jazz Band performing the theme from "The Greatest American Hero" at a basketball game in 2009. We had a guest member of the band with us for this song - the arranger of the song, Michael Withrow. This was at the very end of the evening, so we were all a little worn down. Please enjoy! Appropriate comments are welcome.
Absolutely dreadful!

@SuperCruiser72 It could have been much better, but the band did the best they could at the time. Sorry you didn't like it, but thanks for the comment! Best wishes.

This is really good considering how tired you must've been. (I have to admit though - it'd been better if your director (? - person on the trumpet playing the high notes) didn't play - he really was a bit off key).
That said - it's cool to hear this version done in a band setting. thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comment! Yes, we were tired. This was the final song of the night. The person playing with us was actually the arranger of the piece. He had a cold trumpet, (since he didn't play on the other songs) so that probably was part of the reson it was off key.
