Dennis Fortier Memorial 1948-2008

Dennis R.J. Fortier of Sun City, Ca, passed away April 17,2008. Dennis was born February 17, 1948, in Biddeford, Maine. His family relocated to
San Diego in 1954 and later made Sun City his home with wife Becki.
He was a loving father to Denise(Marc)Greening, and devoted Pepere to Mitchell and Jacob Greening of Albuquerque, N.M. and son Damian E.N. Fortier of Orange, Ca.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Rebecca Constancio Fortier and his loving mother Irene LeBlanc Fortier of La Mesa, Ca. his son-in-law Marc Greening and daughter-
in-law Genevra Leo Fortier. He is also survived by Uncles; Rene LeBlanc of Sanford,Me, Raymond LeBlanc of Greenwich CT. Roger LeBlanc of Cadillac, Mi., Robert Fortier of Somersworth N.H.and Paul Fortier of Rochester, N.H. He is predeceased by his father Noel J.Fortier, his father-in-law Edward Constancio, and brother-in-law Edward Constancio Jr. and most recently his mother-in-law, Mary Rendon Constancio on April 10,2008.He attended Marian Catholic High School, Class of 66" in Imperial Beach, Ca. He attended Southwestern College in Bonita,Ca. after serving in the Armys 101st Airbourne Division in Vietnam as an Interrogator of Prisoners of War. He came home and married Becki in 1970. He retired from the State of California as a Deputy Registrar for the Contractors State Licensing Board. He also leaves behind his Godchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Anderson of Lake Mathews, Ca. He was a devoted fan of the San Diego Chargers and the Los Angeles Lakers. He enjoyed playing
Cribbage with his friends, Gary Coombs, Cordell and Eres Miles, and his best buddy Gus Lange and Rose Miraglio. He and Becki also enjoyed their Lobster dinners with
friend Carl Zimmerman. He leaves behind many friends and cousins. A Memorial service will be held on Friday May 9th at 1 PM at Santa Sophia Catholic Church, 9800 San Juan St. Spring Valley, Ca. He will be interred at Ft. Rosecrans Cemetary at a future date.
