On the National Day of the American Cowboy, July 26, 2008, Roy Rogers, Jr. (Dusty) celebrated with the Riders of the Circle B by playing music at each others' theatres. In this clip, Dusty explains the importance of Cowboy Day, and then he and the High Riders sing "Great American Cowboy" at the Circle B Supper Show in Branson, Missouri.
Dusty,
Thanks so much for getting behind the National Day of the Cowboy. We all need to generate as much recognition and celebration as we can if we hope to achieve permanent status for it through the US Congress. Although they pass it each year, it is only for one year at a time. Let us know what you're doing on the next NDOC, Saturday, July 23, 2011.
Happy Trails,

Great voice and harmonies - saw this same number perfomed last summer in Kanab, Utah at the Western Legends Festival by Sons of the San Joaquin. Loved it. This version is just AS good.
See you in Branson!
