This ignorant utopian useful idiot needs to be stripped of everything in her life that involves drilling for oil. You know, like her hair dye, back pack, tit job, bycycle tires, microwave, etc. These fuckheads are totally void of in deapth thought.

All right, here's something I don't get... if "just the thread to drilling has already lowered prices" (I'm assuming you mean "threat OF drilling"?), doesn't that show that gas prices now have NO correlation whatsoever ACTUAL drilling? Oil prices are being manipulated by speculators who are playing the public for fools. They need to be re-regulated like they were before Phil Gramm and wife got the laws changed for Enron. Maybe talking about regulating these leeches will reduce the price more!

Actually, the latest government report said it would take 5 years to survey potential oil sites for auction, 5 years for an auction to take place, 5 years before the first oil starts running, and 5 years before there is enough oil to affect oil prices. This is 20 years at a minimum, but in the short term the oil companies will have to spend billions to get at the oil, so Bush-McCain's oil drilling will increase oil prices over the next 20 years.
Pretty silly analysis. You guys should be happy that they would be spending more of their "evil profits" on trying to find new oil. The former president of Shell says they can produce oil in 5 years, but just the thread to drilling has already lowered prices. $3.50 today in Houston, Texas.
