GROFUN community growing project

GROFUN is a beautifully simple idea with a beautifully silly name. GROFUN stands for 'Growing Real organic food in Urban Neighbourhoods' and coordinates groups of neighbours in communities cooperatively growing food in their own back gardens, sharing labour, skills, resources and last but not least-the delciious home-grown produce itself.

Imagine if most neighbourhoods did this, what a wonderful place our towns and cities would be to live in, improvement in health and wealth too. Imagine the increase in biodiversity, the wildlife habitat. Fantastic thanks for posting.

It's like an allotment society on tour! There must be loads of people who want to grow their own and know the benefits, but haven't yet got the know-how or confidence. What a brilliant way of getting people started!

Wonderful, I love the laughter, so natural! As we grow mor of our own food so we recreate, we reclaim our independence, from a system that grows food for profits using chemicals and processes the abuse nature.
