I am a dancer and I always find similarities and differences between dance (specifically ballet, modern, contemporary) and gymnastics or cheer leading to be very interesting, especially the terms that we are taught for certain positions or stretches.
ps. i think someone else said this but watch your standing knee. Decide if you are keeping your standing leg parallel or turned out (im not sure if people who do things outside of dance know about all that)

Keep an eye on your standing knee. If ur not careful and u let it bend in like that it will dislocate.

Can you kick up directly into a standing split? Ala the 2001 All China Games Optional Changquan compulsory Nandu.

i can just about catch it but i need some more practice and im working on the head to toe stretch so it will look even better.
do you know of any excersises i can do to be able to kick my leg up and catch it like a profesional wushu athlete
