Pokemon: Silver- vs. Red

The final battle in the game.

Pikachu- Is the highest leveled Pokemon in his Party. Since my Feraligatr is weak against his Thunder, I decided to play it safe by paralyzing Pikachu with Thunderwave, and a Light Screen to reduce the damage by half in case the attack fails to paralyze my opponent. One Earthquake was all I needed to finish Pikachu off.

Venusaur- I would use Lugia's Aeroblast to finish it off, but why not show off my Fearow's Drill Peck? Venusaur will either use the Sunny Day + Solar Beam combo, or just charge up with its Solar Beam, so it's best to take it out with a Pokemon that knows strong attacks.

Blastoise- Ampharos, you rock.

Espeon- Ho-oh told me that if he didn't appear in the final battle, he would Fire Blast the heck out of me. So, I taught him Shadow Ball with a TM, and used it on Red's Espeon.

Snorlax- You'll need lots of strategy to beat his Snorlax, since it's the hardest Pokemon to battle against. I used Ho-oh's Flash six times until Snorlax's accuracy dropped significantly. Then I tried to use the Toxic + Swagger combo, but Snorlax's Rest threw me off. I was lucky that Snorlax was unable to attack me after I confused it.

Charizard- All I needed was a couple of Surfs, and Charizard would be out of commission.

Overall, Red's not that tough. It's his Snorlax that makes the battle frustrating. If you can take down his Snorlax with a right strategy, you can beat the rest of his team.

i dont get it why is red and ash have the same pokemons then did the ppl that designed the game wanted a character similiar to ash? i remember when i was a kid playing this game i always thot red was ash or somthing but can somone explain to me this confusion?

@Strivenigga Red and Ash are NOT the same characters; Ash is just an anime adaption of Red. The Pokemon he obtains are the Pokemon that you get in Pokemon: R/B/Y in your adventure. Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise are the final evolved forms of the three starter Pokemon in R/B/Y; Snorlax is the Pokemon you (or Red) get after waking it up with a Pokeflute to get to your next destination; Espeon is one of the evolved forms of Eevee. Eevee is the Pokemon you may get in Celadon City.

@Strivenigga (cont'd from my previous post) And lastly, Pikachu is the Pokemon Red gets in Pokemon: Yellow version as a starter.

It is easy for Pokemon fans to get confused between Ash and Red if they do not know about the older Pokemon games since that's where Red appeared in.

For some reason I'm always able to take our pikachu in ONE HIT with my obviously weaker Typhlosion, but when I come to his Latias it ends up taking out all of my Pokemon. I dunno...maybe they made it harder in Heart Gold. DX

I beat this guy with a lvl 51 onix, lvl 52 ampharos, lvl 46 pidgeot, lvl 46 gyarados, lvl 49 typhlosion and lvl 46 lugia... LIKE A BAWZ!

@Strivenigga The game (pokemon red for the gameboy) came before the anime, in a sense Ash is loosely based off Red. I've watched Poke'mon since it came out in America back in the 90's :D
