Jeff Gordon was always a good driver, but I think his break-out year (obviously) was his sophmore season when he bagged 2 wins and finished 8th in points.

@zr1drifter exactly my piont gordon acctually got talent if you take pionts lead in the chase at any piont you win thts not how racing should be

@nWo24life I agree man. Nascar has screwed up the sport with all the crap they have been doing since 2004. I'm not a fan of the chase format. I don't care what anyone says, Jimmie Johnson is not as good as Gordon was in the 90's. Jeff's good crew cheif didn't stick around like Knaus is with Jimmie. Jimmie didn't race against and beat Dale Earnhardt Sr for championships with no chase format. I mean shit, Gordon won a championship with Robby freakin Loomis. Nobody wants Loomis for a crew cheif.

Good video. I miss the good old days when Jeff was with Ray Evernham and no one could touch them. I am a Nascar fan because when I was a kid in 1994 I watched a race with my dad andI really liked the 24 car. He won the race and I have been a Gordon fan ever since. Let's hope his new crew cheif and team can get him back to championship form and winning some races.

I remember watching Nascar (very little) as a kid in the mid '80's. First race I ever saw was Tim Richmond winning at Riverside. But I didn't really get into racing until 1994. The first race I REALLY watched was the Coke 600, and I picked Jeff as my favorite driver. I've followed him ever since. With all the changes that have come to Nascar since 2004, I can't say I'm a fan of the sport anymore, just a fan of Jeff Gordon. When he retires, I'm done with racing. But I'm a JG fan for life.

i remember when i was little, my pop and i built a 2 seater go-kart and then we built a rainbow warrior body to put on it. we still have that old go-kart and every time he changes a paint scheme, we go build another removable sheet metal body to put on it. and sometimes, if we find a scheme that we like, we'll make a body of it. i have a shed full of about 10-15 go-kart bodies in it. those were the good old days.
