and I'd just like to say
the newspaper is every teen's friend
and we read it every day

sports section's his scene
he checks up on all the scores
and roots for all his teams

Benita's a cool girl
she likes the weekend review
she says the editorials are a fav
but comics are cool too

This is my friend Tyler
Politics fills his heart
Reading about our government
makes him aware and smart

Not everyone likes reading
my friend Hanna would agree
she stuffs her boots with newspaper
to keep their shape, you see

Tilney likes the style section
she likes to read about clothes and hair
she likes going to the shows
and dancing everywhere

This is my friend JC
the front page makes him grin
it gives him a mature stance
on the world that he lives in
