Eddie Firestone (December 11, 1920 - March 1, 2007) was a United States radio, television, and film actor.
An early success was in the title role of radio's That Brewster Boy, which he left in 1943, during World War II, to join the U.S. Marine Corps. At the time, he was billed as Eddie Firestone Jr.
Firestone appeared in several roles on the popular Western television series Bonanza, as well as in Walt Disney's feature film The Great Locomotive Chase.
Jeremy Slate (born Robert Perham; February 17, 1926 - November 19, 2006) was an American film and television actor.
He became known as one of the more talented members of the 60's beach boy set and costarred with Ron Ely in the 1960-1961 Ivan Tors series The Aquanauts, which was renamed Malibu Run half-way during its brief run on CBS. The series could not compete successfully in the same time slot as NBC durable Western Wagon Train. He guest starred in nearly 100 television shows and appeared in 20 feature films.
From 1979-1987, Slate portrayed Chuck Wilson on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live. Slate appeared nine times on CBS's Gunsmoke. He also guest starred three times in The Alfred Hitchcock Hour on CBS and then NBC, in Mission: Impossible on CBS, Bewitched on ABC, and My Name Is Earl on NBC.
Bernard Whalen "Bert" Convy (July 23, 1933 -- July 15, 1991) was an American actor, singer, game show host and panelist known for his tenure as the host for Tattletales, Super Password, and Win, Lose or Draw.
Convy started his career in the entertainment business as a featured performer and singer in the Billy Barnes Revues of the 1950s and 1960s. He appeared in the 1961 Warner Brothers drama Susan Slade, playing Troy Donahue's rival for the affections of Connie Stevens. Convy went on to became a Broadway actor, starring in Fiddler on the Roof (1964), The Impossible Years (1965), and Cabaret (1966). He also appeared in the Roger Corman film A Bucket of Blood, playing Lou Raby; and the soap opera Love of Life, playing Glenn Hamilton, a rapist.
John Wengraf (23 April 1897, Vienna, Austria-Hungary -- May 4, 1974 in Santa Barbara, California) was an Austrian actor.
Wengraf emigrated to England in 1933 as the Nazis began their rise to power. Wengraf appeared unbilled in a couple of films, as well as in some of the first BBC live-television shows ever presented. In 1941 he appeared on Broadway with Helen Hayes in "Candle in the Wind" and decided to stay in the US. The following year he settled in the Los Angeles area.
He found himself invariably playing the very characters he detested. Some of his more nefarious nasties surfaced in such films as the Humphrey Bogart classic Sahara (1943/I), as well as "The Boy from Stalingrad" (1943), "U-Boat Prisoner" (1944) and "Till We Meet Again" (1944).
In postwar years, he portrayed ethnic professionals (scientists, doctors, professors, foreign royalty). Some of the more quality pictures he enhanced were "Tomorrow Is Forever" (1946); Count Von Papen in "5 Fingers" (1952); and Ronchin in the Ethel Merman musical "Call Me Madam" (1953). In the 1950s and 1960s he transferred his talents to TV, appearing on a number of dramatic showcases and on such popular programs as "The Untouchables" (1959), "Hawaiian Eye" (1959), "The Man from U.N.C.L.E" (1964) and "The Time Tunnel" (1966). His last few films included minor roles in the war-themed "Judgment at Nuremberg" (1961), "Hitler" (1962) and "Ship of Fools" (1965).
