Hows is this Better than Edwin Starrs version ,No passion in vocals to hurried ,the strings saved this gezzer ,Dont take my word for it compare .

@boywithaname ...not much in it to be fair ,stars version has that " Mowtownesque " feel in the production m however disagree about the passion and speed of the track , this oozes class and epitomises the Northern Soul scene imho

Edwin Starr's favourite song from his own repertoire, and I far prefer Edwin's reading. Far more Soulful IMO. If Edwin's version were as "rare", there would be no discussion...

Best version by far...with one of the best backing vocals ever and Mike Terry on sax...Detroit at its finest. 5*

Played as result of a few Mecca regulars hounding Mr Curtis to play this again and again.Ran up the legendary corridor to shuffle to this dirge like sound - what a backing track.
