Hi Mark.....Great tutorial. I've been doing some painting over the past few months. I like the Bob Ross method. Your instruction is excellent. Hope to see more in the future.

Mark,
Well Done! I especialy liked the verical yellow and red for the water/ice reflections. I started with the Bob Ross back in Nov 2008 and I really appreciate seeing how others have adapted the technique.

Hi mark, great work, and a good tutorial. Im 15 and thinking of taking up oil painting, and would just like some advice on 'admin' things. Would a rather thick sketchbook type paper provide a good surface, or should I be buying a glossy smooth paper? Also, is the liquid white you applied to the canvas in part 1 neccessary, or is it just to make the paint look better.
Thanks!
HI Mark
Wow! U make it look soo easy! I made a painting a couple of months ago following Bob Ross's instructions and it actually came out quite well. Just wanted to know what are you using to keep you canvas up? Is that and easel.. it looks like ur canvas is just stuck up on something but it doesnt look like and easel

Hi,
It is easy with a little practice of course :) Funny i stuck up the red table cloth to the back of my easel to stop the glare from behind.. Trying to get the best from my £50 web camera.. I will try and get some closer and clearer shots in the future.
