Overturning his earlier decision of appointing new priests in Pashupatinath temple, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has requested the old priests to continue Puja in the holy Hindu shrine.

"Till the new dispensation is not decided, I ask the previous Mul bhatta (who had recently resigned) to continue to perform traditional duties beginning today," said PM Dahal, who is also the patron of Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT).

Addressing the parliament, Wednesday, he said that the government will abide by the decision of the Supreme Court (SC), which had earlier issued an interim order asking the government not to use new priests for Puja in Pashupatinath temple.

His new decision has come amid controversy over the issue in Nepal as well as India.

  • @diliprai that means ,, India also should kick the Nepalese priests working in india too ? ? ,, is that what you called Hypocrisy ! Remember one thing is clear if we mix India-Nepal politics in to public arena , then it would be desastar for Nepal any way ,, ,, Hence Never ever support the fundamentalism where public relationship is harmed !

  • the destruction of Nepali society and bringing Nepalese into caste system was started when Indian Brahmin was appointed the head priest of pashupathinath temple in 14th century.

Before that nepalese society had hardly any caste system.

The Indian Brahmin priest was also responsible for claiming Nepal to be Hindu nation though nepalese have their own way of life and culture.

therefore we need to kick dhoti priests out from pashupathinath temple.
