College Students Rally in Austin, Texas to Keep Guns Off Campus

ABC News: The Campaign to Keep Guns Off Campaign and Students for Gun-Free Schools held a major rally on the steps of the state capitol in Austin, Texas to protest against permitting the carrying of concealed guns on public colleges and universities in Texas. The rally, held on the second anniversary of the Virginia Tech, April 16th, 2009, called on Texas lawmakers to stand up to the radical agenda of the gun lobby. John Woods, a student at Virginia Tech whose girlfriend was killed during the shooting and now a graduate student at the University of Texas, organized the protest and called the proposed Texas legislation an insult to the victims and survivors.
