I'm sorry, but that would be so embarrassing to be like 15, and have your friends come over to think that your mom is your grandmother because she's 60-80. Some of my friend's moms are just 28 and they're 14, but that's WAAY too young, but yet 57 is WAAAY to old.

Parents die when they are 20,30's,40's so age wont grantee they will live long... my dad died when i was 13..he was 42

I agree with the woman at 1:11. I would be devastated if my mother died when I was so young.

At least they arnt taking it for granted

My mom had me when she was 17 but i was raised by my grandfather while my mother worked and it taught me resepect to older adults

its not natural after the menopause!

id rather see a woman her age loving a child, than seeing these young mothers, being a slut around town, having kids left n right n not loving em, and abusing em.

There are many children who are born to teen mothers who are unprepared to care for their children. These children are often raised entirely by their grandparents. As someone who has been raised with huge input from my grandparents I feel there is nothing wrong with a child growing up with a mother who is getting up there in age.

I say if the woman feels up to it, she is in healthy condition and the doctor is there to help as much as they can. HAVE A BABY!! Don't pay attention to the people who say you are too old, you wont have the energy, its weird to have a mother who looks like a grandma.. Those people dont say anything about the numbers of teens having babies, young mothers who are drug addicts, age doesnt matter

I think its sad that from the outset, these children are filling a void within that person.
I don't see any problem with a woman, even an older woman, wanting to show love for a child of her own. Her time with her child may be limited, but there are no guarantees that a young parent will be around for a long time either. There are a lot of children who grow up in abusive or neglectful families and if they had a chance to be truly loved, it wouldn't matter how old the parent was...but they would have good memories to cherish. Just my two cents...

Thanks for your courage... I had a surrogate pregnancy with a donor and my husband's sperm, and she changed her mind when our daughter was 10 months.... talk about difficult! And some mothers, young ones, die during childbirth. And my neighbors sister died in a car crash just weeks after giving birth to her first born, which my friend raises as her own.... no one is promises tomorrow, love for today!
