PlantLock accommodates most bicycle types on the market. Bicycle frame and both wheels can be secured to the bar with the owners existing locks ideally two quality locks of different types, as recommended by SoldSecure. PlantLock requires minimum maintenance, being made from robust, durable materials. The locking bar is made from boron steel, case-hardened and tempered, to achieve robustness beyond most commercially available bicycle locks. Each PlantLock accommodates 2 bicycles, and is available in a range of subtle colours.

  • Oh man, you swing that sledge hammer like a girl! :)

  • There is no protecting from an angle grinder for any bike security system or product - other than the deterrence of being seen or heard. An angle grinder will cut through any bike lock, albeit with a large spray of sparks, and an earsplitting noise.

As PlantLock's solid bars are thicker than anything available from Kryptonite, they're the least likely to be attacked.

  • As ever, the best advice is use 2 good quality bike locks, ideally of different types, and lock both wheels and frame to the locking bar.

Enjoy your bike (and grow some strawberries while you're at it).

  • Where's the angle grinder test?

Can't quite imagine a thief going "to work" with a junior hacksaw or a sledgehammer.

I'd like to see if it's stronger than a Krypto Fagh - if not, then there's no point really.

  • looked like a ball sack to me

  • No, it's not quite that...The solid locking bar is made from boron steel, case-hardened and tempered, to achieve robustness beyond most commercially available bicycle locks. It's also thicker than any D locks available.

Angle grinders will ultimately cut through most metals, but not without a lot of noise and spray of sparks - not the attention a bicycle thief wants.

  • Well its a chromium coated alloy bar. With a little portable circular saw coated with diamonds it should go in it in about few seconds.....
