When the government profits from wars by securing oil supply lines and taxing the shit out of everything involved in businesses making munitions and equipment...it isn't war profiteering. Its Patriotic. <note the sarcasm. When a private company makes money they are war profiteers. Politicians make millions on their investments in munitions and equip companies...not war profiteering. Patriotic. Lets not forget also that the gov gets millions in taxes from the private companies.
