I hate you, YouTube. Very much so. First, you disregarded the name I gave to my first video, then you disregarded the tags I gave to it. Now, you give me an error in the middle of uploading this one and cause me to lose all the text I had typed, and then simply refuse to upload. Once I finally got this video to upload, hours later, it actually uploaded twice! That's not all, once I deleted one of the copies, the one that was left wouldn't work because it was considered to be a duplicate! Because of that, I had to yet again upload the video, praying that it would work. Even then, I never got confirmation that the video had indeed been uploaded; it's only when looking at my profile that I saw it was now online, yet the uploader was still running. This is extremely frustrating and it cost me time, bandwidth, and patience. I got a pretty bad impression the first time I uploaded a video to YouTube, and I'm getting an absolutely terrible impression this time.

Anyways... Ugh, let's start over...
Bomberman is a classic character loved by many and one of the most requested characters to appear in Brawl as a third party alongside Snake and Sonic. Unfortunately, that never came to be, but now we can at least pretend he's in there! It was a lot of work, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out; not only that, but I do believe I am the first to publically show a Bomberman skin! Granted, I don't really look at other people's skins.

I had been thinking about who would be the most appropriate character to reskin as Bomberman, and Olimar seemed to be a good match; after a few preliminary tests, it became obvious that I had made the perfect choice. His head, however, paused a major problem: Olimar's head is nothing like B-man's and though his big, round helmet seemed like it would do well, it's composed of two normals (that is to say, it's not real 3D) and thus seemed like a lost cause. Thinking some more about this dilemma, I realized that the best way to progress was to go around the problem, and thus a new idea came to me: Let's turn the helmet (and antenna) into a giant bomb with a lit mesh and call it a mask!

For that reason, I have named this character "The Masked Bomber", a visitor with an unknown (although obvious) identity! It's kinda hard to see because I didn't pause and zoom in or anything, but his appearance is partially based on that seen in Bomberman Generation, with yellow-golden bracelets and a red "scarf". There's some nice details on his backpack that aren't visible in this video; the Bomb and Fire powerups decorate it as well as cute little Bomberman faces I drew.

  • TL:DR

  • @ReginaldJohnny Interesting how you're seemingly too lazy and retarded to read a small bit of text, and yet you're able to dedicate some of your previous time to write and misspell a comment.

  • @KurosanNitebird maybe!

  • @supersmashmaster999 Oh? Maybe we can work something out, then!

  • @KurosanNitebird yes. i have the ability to edit modeling.

  • @supersmashmaster999 You mean his head? Unfortunately, model editing wasn't possible back then (which is why I went around that issue by creating that "mask"), and even now I don't really have much of any experience with 3D modeling.

  • @KurosanNitebird also, you might want to edit the model to make him more square shaped like bomberman

  • @supersmashmaster999 Yup! That is EXACTLY what I'd like to do, actually. Well, except that I would probably lessen the power of bombs by more than half, since even half a bomb would be pretty damn powerful, when you consider that it'd be a normal attack that the player can use anytime. This hack predates the ability to do that kind of stuff, but now that it's feasible, I might go back and make those changes sometime.

  • now you need to do an item modifier to change pikmin to bombs, get rid of the pikmin to follow you, but you can still throw them. that way you can throw the bombs only, lessen the power of the bombs by half so its not an uber effective character hack, and youve got yourself a bomberman v1.2
