I first heard this song and band in hawaii on the radio, called the dj and found that they lived here in the Bay Area and saw them many times over the next few years. Alas, they are no more, but here is a song from the bass player Bill's last show, which the band let me video tape.

Ya, they always say something different during the break in the middle of the song, as well as adding new parts to the song. When i saw them and johns 10(approx) yr old son was watching, during the break he said,"son, do as i say, not as i do". I knew then that they were near the end.....

I've never smoked pot, but I love this song. I heard it on the radio in the late '90s when I was in college. I kind of wish I'd tried it at some point. I can't now or else I risk losing my job and license. Fuckin' blows!
