In this short video I will show you how to embed a very simple search engine into dreamweaver, with out any coding necessary! It consists of a simple javascript code, that you can paste from your website. All you need to do is change the website for it to search!

  • Hi mate, this is really good, but I must ask you if there is any way of after searching for something in my website, for the results to appear in my page. Thanks alot.

  • @dantaz There is, but its a really hard long way, It's all to do with PHP and uploading everything you want to be search to a server, its really hard work, even im not sure how to do it, but you can use the GoogleAdsence one, which will display it on your site, but have ads by the side of the results

  • @TechnologicalUK wow thank you so much for the answer :D

  • Thanks for the video!

QUESTION: Do we have to change the form action from google to our personal website as well for it to only search our website? Also do you have any videos dealing with contact forms?

  • Awesome tutorial... thanks for helping out 100% in under 5 minutes.

    Works great!!

  • Good tutorial but, It is not searching my sites content, only my site.

  • Do I have to put meta tags on all of my pages?

  • Really good tutorial! However, my only problem is that I'm using a local host (using XAMPP and Dreamweaver CS5) to test out my website, and it doesn't seem to pick up any words/content on my page. Do you know how to go about fixing this? I would really appreciate it. Again, wonderful tutorial! :D

  • @5011453 Well, usually it would be really hard, loads of PHP coding, and database recording, but this basically uses Javascript to search it using google, and yet i can be customised. :) Glad you liked the video
