This is an anonymous Russian song about the civil war in Russia on the brink of change. The words (for those who understand Russian) are a very nice complement to the music but even the guitar arrangement is great. This arrangement was made by Igor Varfolomeev (www.lute.ru) and can be found in the Issue2 collection on his site.
Played on a Robert England Hauser guitar
Recorded with a pair of Peluso CEMC-6 microphones
Svilen, this is very very emotional piece. As you mention the song is about the Civil War In Russia (1917 -1923). Can you briefly translate the words of the song to English? Thanks.

My understanding of Russian by now is not that great (it used to be much better) but the song is about a lieutenant of the then White army - the one fighting against the Red army of the coming communist regime. It's not really part of the song so much, but the story is that he escaped prosecution for many years after the new regime took over but was eventually found and executed.
