A debate was held in Hebrew U. over the questions of free speech and censorship as a result of the Muhammed cartoon controversy. As seen on Arutz Sheva IsraelNationalNews.com
The problem is that except for a percentage of us , too many people mare against free speech if it goes against their politics religion or personal view of themselves. People should tolerate criticism even of it wrong cause they don't have too agree with it. I had to tolerate the criticism against me when I criticized Warner Brothers and the vitaphone project defended them . I still di not agree with them
SAVE FREE SPEECH!!!, the government are trying to take over the internet then put a tax on it, help save it by signing this petition please!! GO TO petition.org.au
With every word they express, muslims in this debate show the cultural blinders they wear.
The fact is, the qur'an and hadiths are extremely offensive to many people and their beliefs. For example, as a Christian, the qur'an denies Jesus Christ's Divinity, and goes further to condemn Christians for their belief. For us, the qur'an is a heresy, blasphemous, and incredibly offensive. They reply that they respect "prophet" Issa - they have no worldview outside of their own bigoted doctrine.
Does anyone remember WW2? It was not just ok for people to speak negatively against Hitler and the Nazis it was completely permitted in the West. Today with Political Correctness truth is now the new lie. If someone belongs to any religion which condones murder, and terrorist acts, then how on earth can we accept that their 'religion' is acceptable?
