Kratos kills Poseidon, Hades, Helios, Hermes and Zeus. These are the Gods of Olympus who fought against Kratos and the Titans at the beginning of the game.

why is kratos killing all the gods soz guys i've never played these games

@SkitKid45 There's a war between Kratos and the Olympian gods because Zeus killed Kratos and the other gods are defending Zeus. Kratos managed to escape from the underworld and now has some backup.

@VieatWalk Because Zeus was afraid Kratos would kill Zeus first just like Zeus killed his father Chronos and like how Chronos killed his father Uranus (heh). This happened when Kratos opened Pandora's Box in God of War 1. Unbeknownst to Kratos, the concept of fear was inside the box and it gripped Zeus.

how can gods die? they're immortal

@Stykzman100 There are various types of immortality. The Gods of God of War have the type which grants them eternal life, however they can still die if they are killed. They simply will not age to death.

@elvemage32 Well, Kratos has the blood of Zeus so he's a badass. And the other gods were probably worn from fighting the titans. Thats what I like to think anyway.

As for Hercules, I left his death out because he's a demigod like Kratos, not an entire god. Though Herc's death is great to see.
