You got me wrong, I was just pointing out that Vince's songs are playable on other instruments other than synths like ie guitar. (he wrote songs on guitar) you could quite easily busk away with one and your voice, I never men't for Vince to play guitars with Yazoo, I love synth and have played / programmed them for over 25 years now, I'm not fussy on guitars though!

Highly under-rated! if he stuck with guitar and didn't do the synth thing, he probably would be known as a songwriter for making lots of hits for others, I think the music press gave him a bad note by branding him as an 'electronic backtrack'.
If you remove the electronics from Vince's songs, they are very strong, proper good songs, you can play 99% of them with a guitar, just busking on a city street, everybody will know those songs without the 'electronic backing'

the funny part is that Vince offered this song to Depeche before he left and they turned it down. So this song competed with Martin's song " See You " and this song did alittle better in the charts. But DM still went on to a better career :)

Yes! That much I remember is true, for me at the time I loved both songs, I never sensed that chart competition, Martin's 'See You' was a good song.
