www.ProGuitarShop.com - The Vox Night Train is the new 15 watt all tube head from Vox. This little monster is not only rockin, its small and portable and packs as much juice as an AC15! The Vox Night Train is the first in a new line of Vox amps called the Modern Classic. The first thing youll notice is the compact size and the sleek look of the darkened chrome chassis. It looks great sitting on any speaker cab. The dual 12AX7s and matched EL84s will tear any guitarist a new one. The Night Train features a Pentode/Triode switch to take the output from 15 watts to 7 watts for smaller gigs, late night practice, or mellow studio sessions. The Bright/Thick switch changes the tonality and the gain structure of your tone. Bright mode is classic Vox, chimey and gorgeous. Thick mode bypasses the EQ section and throws your guitar straight at the power amp for mid-heavy, chest thumping overdrive. From classic Vox chime to ballsy mid-heavy drive, the Vox Night Train is capable of anything you throw at it.

The demos are both good and appreciated,but there is something to be said for setting a mic back a few feet or more away.
It's not about getting a good recording tone but rather recreating how the amp sounds,acoustic factors vary but are always there,up close doesn't sound as true as a good condenser mic positioned back a few feet.

It's really sad how this iconic, quintessential and beautiful sounding british amp is now having it long and proud reputation wrecked by korg who now own vox. These amps all ways were made in england and were top notch quality and now they are shit all made in China & Vietnam! They still stick union jacks all over the brandinding... PISS TAKERS!
