Why did you use a crew of like 4 people to do this? A backhoe would have done this in 1 hour flat. I guess maybe to show the weekend Do-it yourselfer could do it with a bunch of buddies?
I have a leak comming into my basement and came accross this product at my local Lowes.
I think that the 40+ year old drain system is probably clogged or non exsistent.
The product is intriguing. I will do more research

i called the rep for EZflow by infiltrator(?) and haven't heard back, so i will ask my question here. 1) does the product require a landscape fabric? if not, what slows down roots and dirt from entering the pipe? 2) is there a version of EZflow in hard/smooth pipe so that it can be roto'd in the future when the pipe gets clogged 3) what is the expected life of the product in the worst soil conditions (until it needs to be declogged or replaced). thanks!

Curious. Where does the water flow to and by compacting it arent you actually resisiting flow by compressing your spongy filter material?would you not be better putting a pipe in with a fliter cloth underneath and then washed stone and then a filter cloth ontop? Are you worried about clogging up the filter material with sediments? looks like a mixture of sandy and clay soil.
The EZflow Drainage System materials will last over 100 years. It is impossible to give the exact functional performance of the system since it is subject to the soils, environment and other conditions outside the scope of the system. Our experience has been that EZflow has performed better than old style (rock and pipe) systems in similar soil conditions by at least several years

EZflow is not currently offered with a “smooth walled” pipe.

The EZflow Drainage System by NDS has a knitted geotextile fabric which is suitable for soils with less than 50% clay or silt particles. If a system needs to be installed in soils that have more than 50% by content silt or clay particles, a secondary fabric with the appropriate apparent opening size to match soil conditions should be wrapped around the circumference of the system. An engineer or landscape architect should be consulted to determine the appropriate fabric for such conditions.
