Before bowling the doubles/singles set at the Open Championships this year I took some time to analyze the shots of some people who were scoring well in earlier squads from the same doubles/singles event. The following video is my analysis of the way they are playing the lines in comparison to how to expected the lanes to play based on the oil pattern. You can see the rest of my thought on my blog post here: http://mountsbowling.blogspot.com/2010/03/usbc-open-doubles-singles-event.html

  • Haha, funny about the Blair Witch reference.

Thanks, zr, I bowled the day after I filmed this and I started the Doubles squad just as I talked about in the vid. I was actually around 20 at the foul line and about 8 at 45 feet. By the end of singles though I moved in to about 25 and was playing about 10 at 45 feet. I wish I had moved in earlier rather than switching balls to stay at 20 & 8. Finished both doubles and singles at -34 & -36 respectively. Not bad just couldnt get anything going.

  • Great stuff bc....What 2 balls did you throw?

  • im going june the 26th

  • What ball did you use? Any surface adjustments? Pin over/under?

  • With you talking into the camera like that, it reminds me of the Blair Witch Project. All you need is a watch cap and some tears :) Nice video, I'll be there June 7

  • Thank you for the Analysis exactly what i thought it would be! If you have not bowled yet I'm sure you will do well. Good luck do good!!
