But I do think miniature horses are fine. They have less power, are smaller and not as threatening to scared people. I'm sorry, I think this women is taking advantage of the laws......

I love my horses and wish I could go more places with them, places like drive-tru restaurants and parks, not grocery stores. She should tie her horse and ask people for help shopping. Many people are scared of large animals, and horses are unsanitary to be put around food! One kick from a large horse can nock over a whole stand. No matter how desensitized your horse is.

I agree. While a large horse works for her, I don't think it needs to be allowed indoors. Mini horses, or course, should be allowed everywhere. Mini horses are amazing guide animals.

The problem is if this thing drops a duce while shopping. The last thing that I need is to have to step over some horse business (or step in it) while i'm pickin out my produce. I'm positive that the grocery staff would be happy to help this lady shop. Do us all a favor, let go of your need to be special and hitch your horse outside.

I think, that an animal must be able to do the task that it is required to do, in this case, I'm fairly certain that she could tie the horse up outside and manage to get the groceries - the horse after all doesn't know what she's looking for, so she must be able to see well enough to point the horse to it. As far as transportation goes, I ride my own horse to the pub every so often where they have a hitching post and quite enjoy the freedom, and no one really seems to mind, and I'm not disabled.

The thing about this thing is that most people are scared of animals and that europian shops arent made for that. But i think that it is a great solution to her problem. Aslong as she stays in america ;)

Hay to the mile that trixie gets is about one and a half flakes per 100 miles. Depending on the weather add some 14 percent pelleted feed, snacks along the way and of course grass. She goes through a standard three string of alfalfa bale in about a few weeks, between 1 and a half to two give or take. She is just a pony and doesnt go through much. SHe only pulls two flakes on a rest day compared to her extensive workout with her owner. They've together gone hundreds of miles over a few months.
