  • Comparing the two is just embarrassing.

My first vote after turning 18 was for Reagan in his second term. I remember just how down and depressed the country felt under Carter and his failed policies. Reagan restored America back to its rightful place in the world.

Obama is MUCH worse than Carter and (with his policies) is destroying America faster than Carter could have imagined. Carter must be happy to no longer be the worse POTUS ever!

  • I saw a great video the other day comparing Obama to Jimmy Carter. They had quite a few things in common. Hopefully the removal of Obama next year will result in another president like Ronald Reagan. That is what this country needs.

  • @jtbpnw I was 12 years old when Carter in the middle of his term. My father had 3 camera stores, a car wash, and a hotel. By the end of Carters term we had lost all the stores and our house. My dad became an alcoholic and despised Carter. Obama I can safely say is 10 times worse. Not only is he repeating what Carter did, he's actually changing our country into a different class of gov't. I cannot understand why people are blindly following this man, off the financial cliff!!!

  • It's nice to see conservative thinkers consider the national debt an issue. They should, however, understand that it has little to do with Obama.

  • @BrettDunbar

Wrong. There was never a true example of "capitalism." Every time it was established, it was under the force and direction of government.

And it's just factually correct that writings for capitalism will say that government is necessary. Any scholar who studies business, politics, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, or any social science will say that government intervention is necessary. They only disagree on the extent. Only ignorant monkeys want to remove regulations.

  • @trivium666fan Wrong. Capitalism only started to fail once socialism and the government got involved. This is a fact. Bring back real capitalism.

  • @cuckooclown101 You are a moron. One Big Ass Mistake America is the worst president ever.Thank God his term as president will end 1/20/13 because if people are stupid enough to vote him into office for a second term then we will see the complete and utter destruction of America. Would you hire someone to run your multi-billion dollar corporation who only had 135 days of experience? Of course not and yet that is what the morons who voted for him did. 01/20/13 the day the nightmare will be over.

  • @BrettDunbar

Because even the creaters of laissez-faire capitalism realized it was a bad idea as they went along.

  • Tax rates are lower now than they were when Reagan was in office. Just saying.

  • @BrettDunbar I am not really a fan of Ron Paul. He seems to get it on fiscal stuff, but when it comes to everything else he is pretty far out there. I would really like to see Buddy Roemer scale up the campaign, and he is by far my favorite so far. If I couldn't pick him though, I would probably go with Rick Perry so far, but that is mainly because I think he takes advice from Dr. Arthur Laffer, and he is who I would want behind a future president controlling the fiscal stuff.
