@Cyrilcynder1 Well, Light is the false protagonist because you view death note from his perspective. Technically from a 3rd person view, Light is the antagonist and l is the protagonist.

@Cyrilcynder1 If we go by a literal definition of the term (a person or group that opposes the protagonist), then L is definitely the antagonist, since Light is the Protagonist.
Protagonist isn't the same as "good guy", just like how antagonist isn't the same as "bad guy".
