  • Isn't it bad enough that the TV is covered up with neckabillies keeping fish out of the water longer than necessary? Unless that walleye was headed toward the frying pan, best off for DNR to set a good example and slip it back into the water ASAP.

  • @dhorton61 The walleye featured was an already-expired specimen. It provided a great visual example of the walleye population that many anglers may not know about.  Walleye are excellent table fare and we encourage their legal harvest and consumption. Catch & release has its place, but there are also opportunities for anglers to legally harvest/consume their catch. These are renewable natural resources managed with a sound scientific basis.
