This is a video to show what the iPhone looks like attached to the XSHOT. It is attached to the XSHOT with with a iPhone Otterbox Defender case that has a low profile tripod mount attached to the case.
I am also using a Sennheiser wireless Microphone system to record my sound directly into the iPhone so i can walk as far away as i want from the iPhone and still be heard.
I used a metal fence stake with a added 1/4-20 Tripod adapter and the XSHOT to make the portable tripod to use outdoors. The XSHOT has had a tripod adapter added to the bottom of it also. I have also used a regular tripod with the XSHOT to get the same effect outdoors, but I like using the stake because it's less to carry when I know I'll have ground to stick it into.
You can see how to mod your favorite iPhone case or XSHOT to add a Tripod Mount at my blog:

How much is the wireless mic kit for the iphone. I need something like this, and everywhere I look, wireless mic's seem to cost on upward of $500... pretty ridiculous considering the simplicity needed. I'm surprised they haven't made an app that can enable a bluetooth device's mic to be used instead of the onboard mic.
Feel free to message me any links or whatnot. Thanks in advance! Very sweet setup!
