The Truth About Non-Jobs

The public sector trade union UNISON recently launched an online video which claimed that cutting public spending meant leaving people without 999 operators, bin men or nurses.

In response, we now present an edited version of their film, which demonstrates the wide range of absurd non-jobs throughout the public sector which could be abolished without any impact at all on front line services.

All of these jobs are real posts in various branches of the public sector.

In the UK, all we ever hear about is deficit and no one seems to care. Well it's time we started to care and understand what that actually means; debt and eventually bankruptcy.

@WhollyMowly I take it you're implying that the members of the public who went on the protest on the 26th are unemployed, which would make more sense if it wasn't a TUC organised protest (group of trade union leaders) since trade unions are groups of workers. Bloody Ignorant Tories.

I believe that people will be quite surprised how the deficit will "melt" away. It will not be "all singing and dancing" as it happens but there is so much fat to remove, as this video shows, before we reach the economic "muscle" and by that time the savings should have been so much greater than has been mooted that I don't think it will be necessary to cut into the muscle so cheer up everyone.
