This guy was a major pain in the ass for me on first playthrough. Probably didn't help that I was going for non-lethal and just used the Mk. 22

Maybe he was Vladimir Komarov, He was the first cosmonaut who died in a space mission, when he die, He curse all the idiots who put him there, in a mission that they knew that was suicidal, but it was a political issue, the mission can not be stopped. He was very angry. He accept that suicidal mission to save his best friend Yuri Gagarin, because he was his replacement. Yuri Gagarin was the first Man in orbit.

Makes me wonder if Kojima has a bit of a luddite side to him.
Then again, I assume that The Fury is his self-insert, representing his anger at having to make video games when he wanted to be a film maker.

MGS 3 was the best game,imo. The boss battles and gameplay was smoother and I actually felt the emotions throughout the game. I was actually sad The Fury died. MGS 4 was ok..MGS 3 still better.
