Alicia Gentile, a professional television host and actress, is joining TBTV as an Associate Producer/Writer and Co-Anchor. Alicia has a degree in Media Studies from Florida Atlantic University and has worked for Miami's WSVN 7 TV and NBC6, where she contributed to various hosting/event reporting gigs around Miami.

West Marine Appoints New President & CEO

In Watsonville, California, the president and CEO of West Marine Incorporated, Peter Harris, has called it quits. During Harris's three-year tenure, West Marine's financial results have been disappointing--resulting in many store closures around the nation. West Marine announced that it has named Geoff Eisenberg as Harris' successor. Harris has agreed to be a good sport and assist with the transition through the end of the year. Eisenberg is a past CEO of Salz Leathers Incorporated and a past CEO of Greenhorn Creek Associates. Eisenberg most recently ran The Eisenberg Company, specializing in CEO training and professional management development.

As long as the leader decides to inject his radical "green" agenda on his customers, the West results will continue to decline. Ever since he sent that email denouncing the use of fossil fuels (which by the way, powers the very boats that he markets to), I have not set foot in a West Marine store.
